Prologue — Room for One

C00-S01 — The dream that follows him

Inside a civilian spaceship, a mother's hand fastens a worn wrist strap on a young boy; his father's smiling face is reflected in the window, beyond which a sudden white flash begins. Tender memory interrupted, no bodies or gore.

01.1 · Close / memoryC00-S01

Before the warning chime, there was a laugh.

Mother Too tight?

Young Arin No.

In the dream hall, Arin battles an unidentified dark silhouette whose distinctive violet starfield sword remains clearly visible. Effortless counters knock Arin down repeatedly; he rises into a guarded crouch before the opponent instantly teleports far away.

Close / EffortlessC00-S01

Every attack becomes another lesson. Only the sword gives him something to remember.

Silent action Arin attacks again and again; the shadow turns him aside and knocks him down with almost no effort. He rises behind his shield. The opponent vanishes and reappears far away. Its face remains hidden, but the violet starfield blade and star-shaped guard leave a clear memory.

The dream has an opponent. It offers no answer. Wide / unreachable

N01 · Wide / unreachableC00-S01

The dream has an opponent. It offers no answer.

Arin Who are you?

Adult Arin wakes alone in cheap lodging, dark undershirt, armor on a chair. A cup slides by itself; a hairline crack climbs the plaster. He clutches the same ordinary wrist strap. An unused pillow is wedged into a rattling window.

01.2 · Wide / lonelyC00-S01

The dream reaches the waking room. No one has taught him what his voice can do.

Neighbor Some of us work in the morning!

Arin So do I.

C00-S02 — A contract, not a calling

At a Neris repair stall, adult Arin in battered surplus white navy gold armor counts a few coins while a practical armorer points to his cracked shoulder rivet. Contract papers and a public water queue behind him.

01.3 · Medium / dry humorC00-S02

Neris surplus armor. An empty emergency-contact field. One more contract.

Armorer The rivets remember the first owner.

Kael with long silver hair and black silver cosmic armor stands on a grassy Earth hillside above an ordinary warmly lit town. He turns suddenly toward stars disturbed by a faint violet ripple. Quiet concern, no attack.

Chapter 01 — The Water Under Neris

C01-S01 — Someone comes back

In flooded industrial waterworks, Mira in plain navy travel clothes with tied brown hair kneels beside injured adult Arin. She raises a curved turquoise water shield against falling machinery. A trapped surveyor is visible behind a damaged beam. Her focus is medical and decisive.

02.1 · Action / rescueC01-S01

A broken fastening. A collapsing conduit. A stranger who comes back.

Arin That thing isn't finished.

Mira Neither are we.

The contract is finished. There is still someone to carry. Medium / carry together

N04 · Medium / carry togetherC01-S01

The contract is finished. There is still someone to carry.

Mira He can't use stairs like this. Find a board we can carry.

C01-S02 — No one asked her to stay

Before dawn in a crowded modest street clinic, Mira washes a surveyor's wound while weary Arin carries a stack of water basins. Rolled sleeves, clean cloths, tired patients. He could leave but stays.

02.2 · Medium / careC01-S02

The recorder is safe. His paid work is over. He picks up another basin.

Arin I'm not part of the clinic.

Mira Neither am I.

In the modest night clinic, Arin sets down his final basin then meets Mira's gaze honestly. She pauses washing a wound and listens, brown hair in a bun and plain navy rolled-sleeve clothes. Close intimate two-shot, exhausted compassionate faces, warm lamp reflected in water. Other patients blurred.

N05 · Close / honest admissionC01-S02

A basin becomes an introduction.

Arin I don't know whether I would have gone back for you.

Mira You don't have to answer that before helping with the next person.

C01-S03 — The relay answers

Before the supernatural surge, Mira in plain navy clothes studies intersecting industrial water pipes and indicates a bypass valve while the frightened municipal engineer holds an unsigned form and Arin reaches a manual wheel. Tension from keeping water flowing to people, blue machinery light and practical amber worklamp. All conscious and standing; no spell yet.

N06 · Medium / a practical choiceC01-S03

Keep the clinic supplied. Isolate the dangerous loop.

Engineer Then the clinic loses water. So do the upper reservoirs.

Mira We isolate this loop. Not the whole district.

Under Neris, ancient cyan glyph rings threaded through modern pipes react to unconscious Arin; dust hangs in air. Mira braces a ring of water around him while a frightened municipal engineer works the isolated valve. No spoken magical letters.

02.3 · Wide / uncannyC01-S03

An old relay recognizes him. Shortages, concealed faults and Axiom pulses overlap.

Mira Arin. Listen to my voice.

C01-S04 — The princess who leaves for her people

Neris palace council: Mira now in white navy gold field armor places waterworks logs and a relief plan before her living king and queen. Arin stands awkwardly behind her; a severe marshal watches. Travel cases at door, local engineer holding the handover.

02.4 · Medium / resolveC01-S04

The princess follows the relay network after arranging relief and unfiltered reports.

Mira I am the person you expect to rule the people drinking that water.

Outside the palace after the council, Mira now dressed in fitted white/navy/gold field armor and holding gold open-ring bluecrystal staff examines Arin's very battered matching surplus shoulder plate with a dry affectionate smile. He notices how much better her armor fits. A palace aide with an empty garment case behind, Neris spires in evening light. Two young adults, no crowns.

N07 · Medium / new partnershipC01-S04

A mandate to investigate. A responsibility to return.

Arin Yours fits better.

Mira Yours has seen more use.

Chapter 02 — The Man Who Came Back

C02-S01 — Veyra is not waiting to be discovered

A bustling Kynari frontier spaceport on Veyra, amber cliffs and teal transit rails, low curved canine-built architecture, recessed scent-marked lanes, paw and nose operated kiosks, adjustable human counters. Intelligent quadrupedal dogs in tool harnesses work alongside human and diverse artificial civilians. A canine administrator looks directly at bewildered Arin; Mira beside him. No humanoid dogs.

03.1 · Establishing / wonderC02-S01

Veyra: a Kynari trading world, with its own rules and people already running it.

Port administrator Marked path, please.

Port administrator I am still here.

At Veyra port, armored Arin and Mira consult an intelligent quadrupedal canine evacuation coordinator at a low paw-operated route table. Arin indicates the same safe passage for civilian evacuees and their destination. A few human, artificial and four-legged canine families wait with travel packs, amber cliffs and teal transit rails. Thoughtful active logistics, not discovery or human superiority. No readable labels.

Arin Not yet.

Veyra terminal under raider attack. Arin holds a narrow approach while Mira treats evacuees on the east ramp. Massive veteran Orin steps off a departing lift and raises his broad shield beside Arin. A Kynari engineer restores the rail from a low service housing. Distinct hostile angular black sentries in distance.

03.2 · Action / impossible oddsC02-S02

The objective is survival. Orin gives up the last lift.

Arin You can't win this.

Orin Then stop trying to win. Help me get them out.

C02-S03 — Two names that sound alike

Inside the refuge shuttle broad older stubbled Orin, white/navy/gold heavy armor, looks up respectfully at the younger brown-bun healer Mira as he recognizes the princess. She waves off formality with tired gentle resolve. Arin sits with bandaged shoulder foreground. Close warm trio, Orin much broader and rugged, Mira without crown, soft blue window light and amber cabin lamp.

N10 · Medium / recognitionC02-S03

Outside the chain of command.

Orin ...I did, Your Highness.

Mira Mira is enough here.

Inside an evacuation shuttle after escape, broad older dark-haired stubbled Orin carefully bandages younger clean-shaven Arin's shoulder with permission. Mira checks survivors behind them. Clearly distinct ages and builds, quiet exhaustion.

03.3 · Close / guarded warmthC02-S03

He came back for a stranger. He was afraid, too.

Arin Arin.

Orin Orin.

Arin That's going to be inconvenient.

C02-S04 — A temporary arrangement

Arin, Mira and broad Orin in field armor study a damaged archive and communications building from a Veyra emergency camp, just three companions at this stage. Local families beside tents hold silent transmitters, hoping to contact loved ones. Mira points to the building's dark aerial, Orin shoulders his enormous rectangular shield. Evening teal wreckage, warm lantern glow, purpose forming without a heroic pose.

N11 · Wide / the next useful thingC02-S04

One building. More than one reason to enter.

Mira We need its records. They need its transmitter.

Orin Same building. Different things to carry out.

Arin There was extra.

Orin Convenient.

C03-S01 — Zara, who is not waiting for instructions

Red and charcoal fully artificial angular armored woman Zara backs out of a smoking low service hatch with a disabled surveillance unit. Four-legged golden-white dog Milo emerges wearing a white blue gold tool harness, sneezing dust. Arin Mira Orin listen to their route plan. No human face or hair on Zara.

C03-S02 — The registry

Zara disconnects detention locks from a hostile controller. Cages open for canine prisoners and artificial defectors; Milo uses a harness tool at a low contact. Arin and Orin return for an injured artificial person while Mira cools a damaged joint. No gore, no actual text on screens.

Kynari community hall, low tables, varied-height sleeping alcoves, paw-operated water taps and scent markers. Milo presses against his rescued golden canine route partner in an untranslated reunion. A dignified elder dog in a survey harness welcomes human and red robotic visitors. A migration map glows behind them.

C03-S04 — Five places by the fire

Exactly five companions round a small campfire: young Arin, Mira, broad older Orin, red armored robot Zara, and quadrupedal golden Milo resting against Arin's boot. Five portions, comfortable asymmetrical grouping, stars above a frontier port.

04.4 · Wide / warmthC03-S04

Five places by the fire. In the morning, five portions. Nobody remarks on the number.

Milo Then stop holding your leg like that. It is making me uncomfortable.

Only Arin and Orin are awake and visible beside a nearly spent campfire at night. Young clean-shaven brown-haired Arin has just woken on his bedroll, navy undershirt, worn wrist strap in his hand. Substantially broader older dark-haired stubbled Orin in loosened white/navy/gold armor moves a kettle toward the coals and offers comfortable silence. Intimate low framing of kettle and faces, no cosmic magic, no extra companions in view.

Chapter 04 — The Language Beneath

C04-S01 — Before the lightning

Rain on a collapsing mountain bridge: younger broad Orin without lightning powers hauls a vulnerable old traveler and his case to safety with an ordinary rope. A soft separate distant memory vignette shows a later lightning strike and Orin drawing breath beside an ordinary fallen weapon, not a triumph pose. Old man face unidentifiable under hood.

C04-S02 — A bowl of water

Safe padded ship practice bay: a bowl tips water onto embarrassed Arin while Mira calmly instructs and Zara moves notes from the splash. Milo watches the floor, Orin by a grounded target. A playback speaker stays inert. Comic gentle physical humor.

05.2 · Medium / practiceC04-S02

Practice spans several journeys. A recording of the same sound produces nothing.

Mira Again. Smaller.

Zara Same sound. No response.

Only Arin, Mira and Zara visible in the safe ship practice bay. Red mechanical Zara presses play on a small physical recorder beside a plain speaker. A still bowl of water and inert floor remain completely unchanged. Young armored Arin looks expectant; brown-bun Mira observes thoughtfully with staff resting aside. Small reflections on metal, quiet scientific comparison, no magical glow from the speaker, no text.

N17 · Detail / a necessary limitC04-S02

The sound alone does nothing.

Zara Same sound. No response.

C04-S03 — The dream answers back

On a dark reflected dream floor, long silver-haired Kael effortlessly turns aside Arin's water and fire strike with a small movement. Arin's weapon returns toward his hand, and he is startled rather than victorious.

05.3 · Wide / unequal lessonC04-S03

Chapter 05 — What We Blame

C05-S01 — Not an accident

Zara cross-checks two civilian ship records on a station screen, times and hull silhouettes aligned without readable text. Arin grips the table, old wrist strap in hand, stricken. Mira stands near without touching him. The image of the lost ship is civilian, no cosmic conspirator.

06.1 · Close / devastating evidenceC05-S01

06.2 · Two-shot / ruptureC05-S02

He knows who Zara is. He blames her anyway.

Arin Like that unit. Like you.

Zara What happened to your parents was wrong. I will not stand here and admit that it was mine.

Zara sets a small data archive on a shelter bench and turns away from Arin, whose anger collapses into ashamed silence. Only youthful brown-haired armored Arin and the red/charcoal artificial woman Zara are visible, physical distance between them. Dusky amber station exterior, rain beyond shelter. Zara is dignified and resolved, not consoling him.

C05-S03 — No one gets erased for convenience

When the chief proposes erasing artificial residents' memories, Arin objects in public.

Arin I know what that unit did.

Arin You have access logs. Use them.

Zara Arin, hold the west circuit. Not the one beside me.

C05-S04 — An apology without a bargain

06.4 · Close / no bargainC05-S04

He names the harm. She does not owe him instant forgiveness.

Arin I blamed you for something you didn't do.

Zara Start by not doing it again.

Only Arin and Zara, seated at the ship's cargo ramp in quiet morning. Zara red and charcoal fully mechanical woman uses a fine physical tool on a cracked equipment housing while Arin holds the other side steadily with both gloved hands. Close crop on faces and shared object, tentative trust without instant smiles or forgiveness. Soft sunrise, worn white/navy/gold armor.

N23 · Cinematic / character momentC05-S04

Repair begins with holding steady.

Zara The housing. Hold that side steady.

C05-S05 — The Second Dawn

In an ancient observatory, Kael calmly gestures toward a dead planet through an enormous viewing ring; a narrow warm band spreads across its cold atmosphere. The five companions watch, awed but wary. The planet is lifeless, no civilians erased.

07.1 · Wide / tremendous powerC05-S05

He can warm worlds. He cannot rewrite existence's foundational rules alone.

Kael I can address a crisis. I cannot make the laws stop producing new ones.

Close two-shot Kael silver-haired ancient-looking but youthful, Arin brown-haired surprised. A subtle branching succession of distant lives appears between them as an abstract light reflection, not a power beam transferring into Arin.

07.2 · Close / kinshipC05-S05

Arin descends from one of Kael's incarnations. He is his own person.

Arin You're saying I'm you?

Kael No. You are what came after.

Mira and four-legged golden Milo confront Kael across an observatory table, Zara and Orin attentive. A magnificent but uncertain nebula beyond the ring. Kael's calm visibly strains as he cannot guarantee the existing people's survival.

07.3 · Medium / the unanswered costC05-S05

The Second Dawn would risk the people already here for an untested improvement.

Arin What happens to everyone here?

Kael I would preserve what I could.

Only Arin and Kael at the vast dark observatory ring, close over-Arin-shoulder view toward youthful pale long-silver-haired Kael in black/silver cosmic armor. Kael's self-assurance cracks into uncertainty, his hand lowers from a holographic distant world. No other companions visible. Cold stars contrast with warm human face, tense intimate confrontation.

N24 · Cinematic / character momentC05-S05

Chapter 06 — The Village That Ate

C06-S01 — East Valley

Father But now... I'm not so sure if I did the right thing.

Only broad stubbled dark-haired Orin and his older gray-haired father in modest kitchen. Orin finally sits across wooden table and lowers his pack to floor, father quietly pulls his own chair in. C06-S06 — Something he can carry differently

Only rugged broad Orin and his adult dark-haired sister beside the departure ramp. He carefully folds their mother's short reply into his huge gauntleted palm with tentative relief; sister watches. Nine centuries still count.

Mira Do the nine centuries stop counting?

C07-S03 — The witness archive

Only golden-white quadrupedal Milo and red/charcoal fully mechanical Zara in immense archive corridor. Milo's muzzle indicates a hidden spatial route below a visual map while Zara follows with handheld translator. Beyond, colossal translucent nested astronomical rings show successive cosmic models, not images of people. Low canine-height camera, amber and cyan ancient architecture, clear four legs, no human party.

N33 · Cinematic / discovery and connectionC07-S03

The sky has been started again.

Zara These aren't different dates in one sky. The laws are being initialized again.

Only Arin, Mira and Zara beside a fragile glowing archive interface. Arin pulls his hand away painfully as the small abstract luminous trace loses coherence, Mira close with compassion, red mechanical Zara holding out a careful stop gesture. No visible ghosts, no resurrected parents. Soft cold glow in ancient stone-and-metal hall, restraint and grief.

N34 · Cinematic / discovery and connectionC07-S03

A trace is not a life they can return.

Zara A surviving trace is not an intact life we know how to return. I am sorry.

Vast nonhuman archive with layered cosmic iteration rings, ancestral migration traces and evolving light patterns. Milo reveals a route from a low viewpoint, Zara translates. Arin listens to a faint fragmentary presence at an interface while Mira signals restraint. No restored parents or ghosts emerging bodily.

10.3 · Wide / the witness archiveC07-S03

Imported ancestry, consciousness shaping reality, traces after death. Evidence of persistence is not a way to restore a whole life.

Arin Can we bring someone back?

Zara Not from this.

C07-S04 — The people beside the answer

Warm familiar ship common room: all five companions around a practical gateway map and supply ledger. Arin asks rather than commands. Mira thoughtful and firm, Orin steady, Zara attentive, Milo with paws beside a low route projector.

10.4 · Wide / five choicesC07-S04

Stopping Kael requires action at the boundary. Each companion chooses the journey.

Arin Will you come with me?

Orin Yes.

Five companions around low ship common-room navigation table: young armored Arin listening, brown-bun Mira marking supplies, broad rugged Orin inspecting retreat route, red mechanical Zara aligning navigation device, golden-white FOUR-LEGGED Milo operating low paw control beside table. Warm practical cabin, quiet teamwork and agency, no heroic lineup, no readable map labels.

N35 · Cinematic / discovery and connectionC07-S04

The answer becomes a plan.

Arin Will you come with me?

Orin Yes.

C07-S05 — A quiet hour before leaving

Only Arin and golden-white FOUR-LEGGED Milo seated side by side at last safe port departure overlook. Arin smiles faintly while scratching behind the dog's ear after welcome; Milo leans into the contact with dignity and contentment, harness remains white/navy/gold and all paws canine. Evening runway lights beyond. Human-dog friendship at quiet scale, no other cast.

N36 · Cinematic / discovery and connectionC07-S05

A serious conversation.

Arin I thought this was going to be a serious conversation.

Milo It is. A little left.

Last safe port at dusk: Arin and Mira sit at opposite ends of a bench with warm space between them. Her relief report is closed, his hands relaxed. In soft background Orin records a family message while Zara and Milo check route equipment.

11.1 · Two-shot / restrained affectionC07-S05

They make plans small enough to want to survive for.

Arin When we get back, I'd like to see the kingdom in daylight.

Mira I know a street you missed.

Chapter 08 — The Door That Listens

C08-S01 — A clock to come home to

At immense ancient physical gateway rings under stars, Milo places low navigation nodes using harness tools; Zara retrieves a small unmanned probe near two synchronized clock indicators with no text. Arin Orin secure a route, Mira checks bodies, a folded spare casualty sling ready.

11.2 · Wide / preparationC08-S01

The field carries their measure of elapsed time, all five companions, and one injured passenger.

Zara Nothing stops.

Milo We planned for one.

Only Arin and Mira standing beside a compact returning unmanned probe on ancient gateway approach. Arin checks small synchronized blue pulse lights on wrist equipment; brown-bun Mira compares the probe's instrument with her own. No readable numbers. Behind them huge turning rings frame stars, no gateway crossing yet. Practical preparation, full intact footing, blue-gold light.

N37 · Cinematic / the OriginC08-S01

A way home, tested before the leap.

Arin All five.

C08-S02 — The chamber of two voices

Only Mira and Kael face each other across outer gateway chamber. Youthful pale long-silver-haired Kael black/silver armor with violet stars holds rigid posture; Mira warm-tan brown bun white/navy/gold healer plate stands unflinchingly with staff lowered. A stable support pillar and separate luminous access ring are visibly distinct behind them. Eye-level intense human two-shot.

N38 · Cinematic / the OriginC08-S02

Every moment happened to someone.

Mira We were there for it.

Gateway control chamber: separate steady cyan sustaining column and bright violet access ring with two channels, one lit. Kael faces Arin and four companions. Kael's hand open in a sincere plea, Arin quiet firm refusal. No weapon impact on the sustaining column.

11.3 · Wide / last invitationC08-S02

Rewriting foundations requires a second independent living will's sustained cooperation.

Kael Please.

Arin Not this way.

C08-S03 — The battle he never wins alone

Arin lunges alone at Kael on reflected gateway floor and is knocked off balance; broad Orin catches his shoulder with shield ready. Mira stabilizes displaced water, Zara studies three access focuses, Milo marks a safe route. Kael remains formidable.

11.4 · Action / familiar failureC08-S03

The stance from the dreams fails again. His friends change the outcome.

Orin Not that arrangement.

Only Arin and Zara prominently visible, distant Kael constrained at central gateway interface. Young Arin redirects a narrow cyan current from his lowered sword toward an exposed side focus that red mechanical Zara has opened with tools. Lean kinetic composition with diagonal energy arc that misses Kael. Continuous arena floor, precise teamwork rather than massive uncontrolled explosion.

N39 · Cinematic / the OriginC08-S03

He changes where the power goes.

Arin Orin showed me where to stand.

Final of three access focuses extinguishes as Zara releases a contact reached via Milo's blue route, Orin blocks Kael's counterstrike, Mira braces the group and Arin redirects a current at the focus. Kael staggers from the control ring; independent cyan support remains steady.

12.1 · Action / earned victoryC08-S03

They force him to stop. Arin has not become stronger than Kael.

Kael All that power. And you spend it refusing me.

Arin It's mine to refuse with.

C08-S04 — Hold

Gateway floor folds inward beneath Mira and four-legged Milo. Arin extends a shaking hand with a coherent thin cyan field holding the broken floor in place. Zara reaches a slow manual isolation control; Kael's violet channel remains imprinted and live.

12.2 · Action / protective reflexC08-S04

His command means Hold. He saves his friends from the boundary failure.

Zara His channel is still live. Don't give it another...

Two distinct cyan and violet living channels light the gateway ring from Arin and Kael. They remain visibly opposed on opposite sides, not shaking hands. A door to an impossibly vast dark reflective realm opens; both men visibly surprised.

12.3 · Detail / two authoritiesC08-S04

Access asks for compatible independent authority. It does not ask for agreement.

Kael Two voices.

Zara It wasn't asking whether you agreed.

Only Kael close in foreground, pale youthful face and very long silver hair, black/silver armor. He involuntarily starts toward newly opened immense doorway of white-blue cosmic depth, catches his own step with frightened recognition, hand against a pillar. Wide negative space beyond gate, cold mysterious light. No destruction, no extra cast.

N40 · Cinematic / the OriginC08-S04

An invitation that feels like a command.

Kael I know this feeling.

Exactly five companions and silver-haired Kael cross a monumental opened portal within a connected blue field: Arin Mira Orin red robot Zara and golden four-legged Milo. A tiny shared clock pulse, vast reflective darkness ahead. Cautious necessary alliance, no celebration.

12.4 · Wide / tense passageC08-S04

Their universe is exposed. Safe closure now needs the far side. Retreat cannot undo the opening.

Mira Together. Nobody crosses alone.

Orin That includes you.

Chapter 09 — The Origin

C09-S01 — A place someone built

Wide cosmic architecture illustration with ONLY enormous four-armed helmeted black-and-gold Aevos. A BRIGHT THIN chest connection runs from his embodied figure to a separate colossal sustaining torus far behind, which glows with its own steady cyan pulse. Red fracturing planet, blue cold planet and hourglass vessels frame him. Reflective dark floor, incomprehensible scale, no text, no humanoid hero party foreground.

N41 · Cinematic / the OriginC09-S01

The maker and the machinery are different.

Aevos I mean it was made. I did not say you do not feel.

The Origin: gigantic four-armed black gold cosmic armored Aevos with galaxy chest, horned crown, rings, red and blue displayed worlds, two hourglass vessels, shattered floating colonnades, blue grid reflective floor. Exactly five tiny but distinct party members Arin Mira Orin Zara Milo in foreground, silver-haired Kael separate. A steady independent sustaining ring behind Aevos distinct from his chest control tether.

13.1 · Extreme wide / scaleC09-S01

A place someone built. Made lives still feel, choose, and matter.

Aevos A self-sustaining simulation, built to let life develop.

Zara And not the place you came from.

C09-S02 — The One comes home

Kael stands shocked among projections of ordinary moments from many embodied lives: learning to write, shared meals, empty bed. His long silver hair and black armor remain sharply foregrounded. Distant Aevos observes without rage. No reincarnation transfer to Arin.

13.2 · Close / the witnessC09-S02

Earlier renewals preserved Kael's memory. This is his first physical return for assessment.

Aevos The One. The continuous witness.

Kael Those are my lives.

Only long-silver-haired youthful Kael in foreground, taking a defiant step and lifting an open hand to interrupt towering four-armed black-gold Aevos behind. Kael's vulnerable anger is clear, not grandiose magic. Reflective Origin platform and slow cyan sustaining rings, no battle blast. Two distinct figures, cinematic low angle.

N42 · Cinematic / the OriginC09-S02

The witness has not finished speaking.

Kael Neither does my despair establish that there can be none.

Aevos calmly turns an hourglass, a line toward the universe gateway begins to whiten. Kael protests while Arin and companions watch. An old continuity ribbon spanning cosmic cycles is now threatened with total severance, symbolic interface only.

13.3 · Medium / the fatal inferenceC09-S02

His engineered urge to return helped shape the verdict. This termination would discard Kael too.

Kael Neither does my despair establish that there can be none.

Aevos This universe will end. Another will be made.

C09-S03 — An imperfect universe refuses

Exactly five companions stand against the monumental custodian, their blue return anchor behind them showing the small ordinary sky they came from. Mira steps forward, Zara open defiant hand, Orin shields, Milo by route marker, Arin tired and resolute. Reset vessels begin turning despite their refusal.

13.4 · Wide / refusalC09-S03

Aevos hears their choice and continues. He is powerful, not omnipotent.

Arin We do not know the final answer. We still choose to live.

Aevos Your choice is understood.

Colossal four-armed Aevos hurls a planet at Arin, Mira, Orin, red robot Zara and Milo. The party braces together behind a blue barrier on a shattered cosmic causeway; silver-haired Kael watches from the platform edge.

Final Battle · A World HurledC09-S03

Their defiance buys seconds. Aevos answers with a world.

Orin Behind my shield!

Arin Together—hold!

Close kinetic shot of red mechanical Zara catching golden-white quadrupedal Milo by his BODY HARNESS after a blue navigation marker shatters; Milo's four canine paws scramble onto solid platform. Broad dark-haired stubbled Orin braces huge rectangular shield between them and distant incoming golden energy. No collar suspension, no blood. Reflective cosmic floor fragments, motion and desperate care.

N43 · Cinematic / the OriginC09-S03

No one becomes expendable.

Mira, off-screen Arin—back to my voice.

Origin floor shifts, a blue route marker shattered. Red robot Zara catches fallen golden dog Milo by his supportive harness, never his collar. Orin shields them, injured but standing. Mira reaches through a failing water barrier, Arin's thin protective field buckling under Aevos's raised hand.

14.1 · Action / outmatchedC09-S03

They delay the reset. Aevos escalates. The old solo stance cannot save them.

Mira Arin - back to my voice.

C09-S04 — Not another Arin

Silver-haired Kael suddenly steps between Aevos's brilliant strike and Arin's party. His protective field cracks and he falls to one knee, armor fractured with violet light escaping, visibly seriously hurt but no graphic gore. The five companions survive behind him.

14.2 · Action / interceptionC09-S04

His first allied act is protection. It costs him what he cannot promise to recover.

Kael I thought that if I preserved the possibility of life, I had preserved the lives themselves.

Kael I was wrong.

Wounded Kael kneels beside young Arin, looking past him to Mira helping Zara and Milo while Orin guards. Colossal Aevos distant. Kael's expression fierce with recognition, Arin upset, no forgiveness embrace.

14.3 · Close / this personC09-S04

A comparable bearer of power would not be this person, or these companions.

Kael His name is Arin.

Arin You were going to do this to us.

Kael I know.

Wounded long-silver-haired Kael kneels in foreground and uses one shaking hand to turn a fractured violet translucent barrier sideways, making passage for broad rugged Orin supporting red mechanical Zara and golden-white four-legged Milo toward safety. Arin reaches Kael from near edge. Full continuous Origin arena, no gore, exhausting protective effort, not effortless omnipotence.

N44 · Cinematic / the OriginC09-S04

An opening they still have to earn.

Kael Get them clear. Then help me stop it.

C09-S05 — Five voices, two speakers

Mira kneels to stabilize wounded Kael with restrained water arts while Arin listens opposite. Zara points out the destructive chest control tether and separate sustaining ring, Milo maps low contacts and Orin braces the route. Team work, Kael unable to stand.

14.4 · Medium / the planC09-S05

Two compatible speakers can hold continuity briefly while the five companions isolate destructive access.

Arin Not a new universe.

Kael This one. Keep what is here.

Four-legged Milo uses a harness-mounted tool in a low contact while red robot Zara isolates a nearby supervisory console. Broad Orin plants his shield and holds a failing connection apart on the moving reflected blue route. Arin and seated wounded Kael sustain a thin field in distance, Mira beside them.

15.1 · Action / the moving routeC09-S05

Milo finds the route. Zara identifies the address. Orin keeps the crossing open.

Milo Left marker. Follow the blue reflection, not the wall.

Orin I've got the crossing. Go!

Close on Arin shaking with effort holding a narrow cyan counter-Axiom beside wounded seated Kael's violet signature. Mira catches Arin's attention with calm urgent eye contact and a hand near him. His blaze visibly reduces to controlled light instead of exploding into new armor.

15.2 · Close / restraintC09-S05

More force would destroy him. He listens and reduces it.

Mira Arin. Back to my voice.

Arin I'm here.

Hold the crossing. Keep the worlds alive. Cinematic / lives worth keeping

N45 · Cinematic / lives worth keepingC09-S05

Hold the crossing. Keep the worlds alive.

Zara Now.

Milo safely backs out across blue return mark, Zara deliberately disconnects a bright destructive tether, Orin prevents contact rejoining, Mira diverts the discharge, Arin and wounded Kael keep a thin field steady. Colossal Aevos's chest tether breaks away from machinery; vast separate sustaining ring intact. All five identifiable.

15.3 · Action / nowC09-S05

Milo clears the contact. Isolation opens a final window against Aevos's local presence.

Milo Clear.

Zara Now.

Defeated Aevos's embodied black gold cosmic armor collapses into inert shards and fading light after the party's final assault. His displayed worlds dim like projections. Behind him the independent cyan sustaining structure visibly continues two luminous concentric pulses; the real universe remains visible in the intact small gateway. Five exhausted companions immediately turn to wounded Kael, no victory pose.

15.4 · Wide / one more pulseC09-S05

Aevos dies in this staged ending. The independent sustaining system continues.

Mira It's still running.

Milo Home is still there.

Epilogue — The Lives They Kept

E01-S01 — What Kael leaves

Only critically wounded youthful pale long-silver-haired Kael reclining on prepared transport support and young brown-haired Arin kneeling beside him, Mira softly visible stabilizing injury at edge. Kael weakly touches Arin's wrist as family, NO glowing transfer between hands, no power inheritance, no revived healthy Kael. Tender close-up against distant quiet cosmic machinery, dignity without gore.

N46 · Cinematic / lives worth keepingE01-S01

Kinship, without a promise.

Kael I thought nothing small could surprise me anymore.

Arin You missed quite a lot.

The five companions escort critically wounded silver-haired Kael in a prepared casualty sling through the gateway inside the blue synchronized field. Orin carries support, Mira treats, Zara preserves records, Milo guides the return mark, Arin keeps close. No glowing power transfer, clocks continue forward.

16.1 · Wide / carry him homeE01-S01

Knowledge is preserved. No immortality, reincarnation, or inherited office is promised.

Kael Do not call it truth merely because I said it.

Mira He is alive. I can't tell you more than that yet.

E01-S02 — Nothing is fixed just because the sky survived

Four soft-edged connected epilogue vignettes within this single panel: Mira helps a Neris clinic coordinator at clean running water; Orin writes a family letter beside testimony folders; red robot Zara hands Arin a new contract; golden dog Milo reunites with his canine route partner at a low Veyra map. Everyday labor and warmth, no coronation.

16.2 · Montage / work continuesE01-S02

Relief, testimony, letters, contracts, reunion. The sky surviving did not finish the work.

Milo I found the way back too.

Only golden-white quadrupedal Milo in white/navy/gold toolharness greeting his darker golden canine route partner in simple civilian harness at a low Kynari village doorway. Two dogs touch noses before words; partner's paw rests near a low route projection. Warm late light and lived-in canine-height furnishings, four paws each, no hands, no human companions.

N47 · Cinematic / lives worth keepingE01-S02

He found the way back.

Milo I found the way back too.

E01-S03 — A street in daylight

Arin and Mira walk a modest sunlit Neris market street, carrying two inexpensive drinks. White navy gold armor travel-worn, shoulder and hands relaxed; fingertips briefly touch at a cup. Repaired roofs and ordinary vendors behind. Gentle affection, no kiss or wedding.

16.3 · Two-shot / daylightE01-S03

He spends a little on something he wants. They imagine another ordinary day.

Arin Could we do this again?

Mira Yes.

Warm evening meal on a modest Neris street terrace. Exactly five companions: Arin sits in the last open chair, Mira beside him, older broad Orin across, red robotic Zara telling a story, golden quadrupedal Milo at a low accessible place by the table with his own plate. Starry sky over repaired city; cozy candid conversation, no extra hero.

16.4 · Wide / room for himE01-S03

Zara Arin, are you listening?

Arin Yes.

Final intimate evening meal: Arin slides into the empty chair reserved for him, seen near eye level with his relieved real smile. Brown-bun Mira sits beside the space, broad rugged Orin opposite, red fully mechanical Zara gesturing over a contract, golden-white FOUR-LEGGED Milo beside a low plate on floor. Warm lamplit outdoor table, modest Neris street under stars. All five distinct, no Kael, no boss, no extra humans at their table, no readable text.

Appendix A — Optional party scenes

OPT-01 — What he remembers besides the fire

Arin He'd explain the ending before he remembered the beginning.

Mira You remembered this part today.

OPT-02 — The limit of a healer

During Neris relief work, exhausted Mira washes her hands at clinic basin after a limited treatment. Orin sets a clean towel and supply list beside her without lecturing. A busy treatment board behind, no dying body shown.

17.2 · Medium / a concrete needOPT-02

During C06-S05. Being skilled does not make a healer limitless.

Mira Another trained healer. Clean supplies. Time.

Orin Which of those can we get first?

OPT-03 — Why Zara stays after the interesting part

At a damaged station doorway after the apology, red robotic Zara sorts a box of hinges and reusable parts. Arin sits down to sort the other half. Modest repair work, ordinary daylight, no dramatic glowing effects.

17.3 · Medium / staying afterwardOPT-03

After C05-S04 and another shared task. Zara chooses the aftermath as part of adventure.

Arin This is a box of hinges.

Zara The door won't open without them.

OPT-04 — His mother's answer

Orin alone in a safe ship communications nook listening carefully to his mother's audio message, then recording a reply. Gloved hands relaxed, soft lamp on his weathered face, closed privacy curtain, no mother's location or screen text.

17.4 · Close / more than one feelingOPT-04

After C06-S06. Love and anger can coexist; neither speaks for the victims.

Mother Being angry has never told me that I stopped loving him.

Orin I just wanted to hear from you.

OPT-05 — The map only Milo can read

Golden quadrupedal Milo stands by a low spatial route projector adjusted with his nose; the luminous map shifts with the viewing angle. Arin crouches awkwardly and red robot Zara watches with amusement. Paw-width lanes clearly shown.

18.1 · Medium / another viewpointOPT-05

Before C08-S01. Kynari maps record approach, position and the route back.

Arin The map moved.

Milo You moved.

Arin carefully holds an awkward crouch at Milo's intended low viewing angle while Milo pads away on four paws toward a drinking bowl, Zara amused nearby. Route now visibly lines up correctly from Arin's new position.

18.2 · Wide / gentle jokeOPT-05

The unfamiliar map becomes legible when he stops assuming his viewpoint is the default.

Milo Good. Hold that for a moment. I need a drink.

OPT-06 — A hand offered back

After a fight at a quiet camp, older broad Orin struggles one-handed with a strap buckle. Younger Arin sits beside him and patiently holds out his empty open hand to offer help. Matching white navy gold armor, different builds. No new injury drama.

18.3 · Close / offered backOPT-06

After C06-S06. The man who always returns can also accept a hand.

Orin I can manage.

Arin I know.

Orin has handed the strap to Arin, who concentrates on untwisting the buckle. Orin relaxes and looks away instead of inspecting. Warm modest camp light, quiet humor between distinct older and younger armored men.

18.4 · Medium / accepted careOPT-06

The bandage from the evacuation transport has become a two-way promise.

Orin Then this should be excellent work.

Arin Try not to inspect it while I'm doing it.

Canon & Draft Notes

All 47 main scenes and six optional scenes are represented in 122 individual illustrations. The comic condenses the script; dialogue may be shortened, and connective captions and the revised D10 investigator lines are newly drafted. Select a scene number to read its complete dialogue.

D01–D16 are accepted canon. Dialogue, costumes, environment designs, camera staging and suggested encounters remain draft material. The artwork does not change the canonical character models.

Accepted Decisions

DecisionCanon
D01Arin's opening is in Neris on an unnamed inhabited world. Kael detects his remote resonance while visiting Earth.
D02Arin wears inexpensive Neris surplus armor; its resemblance to service equipment does not give him a military history.
D03A damaged ancient relay supports Neris's water and energy systems. Mismanagement, shortages, concealed faults and Axiom disturbances overlap.
D04Mira leaves with a limited investigative mandate and a relief handover.
D05Veyra is a Kynari frontier/trading world, not their hidden ancestral homeworld. Its evacuation introduces Orin, followed by Zara and Milo.
D06Wearable devices translate Kynari language; they do not create intelligence. Kynari spatial/scent engineering gives Milo skills distinct from Zara's.
D07Elemental arts are limited expressions of the Axiom. Living authority, coherence and deliberate control matter; sound recordings cannot reproduce Arin's effects.
D08Verified war records identify a particular artificial combat faction and unit behind the ship attack. Zara has no personal connection to it.
D09Use the home village and East Valley labels. Orin was an unwitting beneficiary. His exact age, relatives' names and his father's prior knowledge remain open.
D10Orin's father was never prosecuted because prosecution would expose deeper corruption within the military. The present inquiry exposes suppression. Reform begins but is not completed by a boss fight. Suppression does not acquit or absolve the father.
D11Ancient archives establish imported human ancestral patterns, consciousness participating in reality and persistent traces after death. This is fictional cosmology. It does not establish routine resurrection.
D12Earlier renewals were iterations of one continuing experiment and preserved Kael. His first physical return triggers a different termination condition that would discard him too.
D13Access needs two distinct compatible living signatures, not agreement. Rewriting foundations requires sustained cooperation. Arin's protective counter-Axiom accidentally completes access.
D14A pretested synchronized field aligns the party with elapsed time at home. It neither freezes the universe nor rewinds departure.
D15The party severs Aevos's destructive supervisory access while preserving the independent sustaining machinery.
D16Arin survives. Kael leaves the Origin alive but critically wounded, with no promised eventual recovery. Arin's lifespan remains unknown. The immediate-death alternative is a superseded comparison.

Still Open

  • Kael's eventual prognosis and capacities; Arin's lifespan and future development.
  • The old man's identity and the mechanism behind Orin's restorative lightning strike.
  • What Orin's father knew before diverting supplies; the original exposure route, individual suppressors, threats, correspondence arrangements and his mother's knowledge.
  • Mira's parents' exact responsibility and the unfinished course of reform.
  • Finer limits of conscious participation, surviving traces and the phrase half human.
  • Kael's exact Earth/Mars origin, remaining names and the Axiom's spoken form.
  • Q14's exact bodily fate for Aevos: the storyboard follows v0.1's staged death; acceptance of D15 settles the safe separation of control, not every Q14 detail.
  • Detailed gameplay, casting, performance and final art. Marriage, a child and later power development remain reserved for Sin Star II.
